Hawk Quill Ink Feeds

Use our Hawk quill ink feed to feed ink to Hawk quill nibs in our Classic Pens. Just insert the feed into the Hawk quill, then insert the Hawk quill into our Hawk quill adapter. There are three types of feeds for Hawk quill nibs - short feeds, long feeds, and spring feeds. Each type of feed is sold in bags of five feeds. We ship each Hawk quill pen using the newer short feed.  You can order the previous version, which is longer. We shortened the length so the feed doesn't constrain the flow of ink through the stem of the Hawk quill. The longer feed is easier to position correctly in the nib.  Spring feeds are designed to work with thicker inks and paints. They bridge the gap between the stem of the nib and the tip. Some people call these "ink cage reservoirs". Spring feeds have been used for a long time.
