This model is our lightest 16 inch bike at about 13 pounds and our lightest 12 inch bike. It is as maintenance free as a bike can be without any cables. This may be the easiest bike for a child to learn to ride due to it simplicity and light weight. Hassle-free Assembly. Lightweight parts and frame. Small amounts of weight are extremely important for small children to be able to learn to ride and ride more efficiently while covering long distances. This bike uses the lightest materials available within a reasonable price range. Adults spend large sums of money to eliminate a few pounds of weight and this is even more important for small children.
