Spiked, 2020 With dozens of bicycles whizzing by, I carefully snapped a photo of this flower while in Amsterdam. I do not know the name of it. There were many other flowers within the bunch, but I decided to focus only on this one unique flower. Our vacation was nearing an end and I wished we had more time in this beautiful city, with all of these magnificent flowers, amazing art, canals, and bridges. We had toured nearly a dozen cities, but I believe we saved the best for last. This flower always reminds me of Amsterdam itself; hard on the outside, yet soft and dreamy in its center.
