Our AK12 is a modern version of the CK12 capsule used in the AKG C12/C24, early AKG 414eb, and ELA M251 microphones. The AK12 has an OD of 34mm with dual separated back-plates. This edge fed capsule is skinned with 6 micron German Mylar. This capsule has a response within 1.5db of the average venerable old AKG CK12 capsule and the CK12 is 2db more sensitive with 2db less self noise on average than the original capsule.
