This is an original Bombing Angle Computer Mk 1 Ref No 9/4882 as used by bomb aimers of the British RAF. This heavy 8 inch metal calculator was first used during WWII in bombers such as the Lancaster. This version, Mod.Inst.D.38.LNP/R/3/1956, was likely from 1956 and was used in Canberra's and possibly early V-bombers. Its in terrific condition given its age.
