How to Install For Best Results Tools: Heat Gun or Blow Dyer / Padded Glove or Felt Tip Squeegee Rinse / Soap your Third Brake Light to get rid of debris before application Peel off the third brake light Overlay. Note: If you mess up placement, peel off the overlay easily. DO NOT heat up the overlay until you have achieved the desired placement. Align the top portion of the overlay with the top of the third brake light Next, align either the right or the left edge of the brake light overlay onto the third brake light housing. Once aligned in the groove, the rest should fall into place, but adjustment might be needed until the the desired placement is achieved. The bottom should sit at the bottom of clear or very close to it, depending on how you lay it, it may need to wrap into the housing. Once laid the rest of the overlay should fall into place. If you start from the top of the overlay (recommended), tack down that portion first from left to right. Then, swipe down the overlay to the bottom of the housing from the left side of the brake light, working your way toward the middle and then to the right side. Once the placement is met, PLEASE FOLLOW BELOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADHESION If you have a blow dryer or heat gun, use it to get rid of any tiny bubbles and improve adhesion If there are bubbles make sure you press firmly with your finger and swipe it toward the closest edge If you mess up, you can peel it off right away with no hassle, and add some heat to get rid of the wrinkles. ** REMEMBER TO POST-HEAT** the vinyl after laying, this will activate the glue behind the overlay which will enhance tackiness. NOTE: Light Smoke and Gloss Black have PET liner, must be peeled off after install for a complete super gloss finish.
