Red Picasso Magatama and Matte Gray Beads Hawaiian Inspired Necklace Lei - 28"

The spiral winds around and has an almost snake like look and feel. We used Red Picasso Magatama beads with Matte Gray Seed Beads to blend into this eye catching and beautiful design. It is finished with a strong dark silver toned acrylic magnetic end cap. The combination of segments was design exclusively at Akalei Designs - the stripe is unique with hundreds of beads woven onto 8 cords especially with the magatama beads.  This necklace lei is perfect for those who attend the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival in Hilo, Hawaii each April. For local Hawaii residents the only time this style of necklace is seen might be in a local museum or a gallery. It is because this style of necklace are traditionally made on the Hawaiian island of Ni'iHau (The Forbidden Island) with tiny shells only found there.
