10/11 | Giant Paper Flowers

Join us for a fun afternoon making paper flowers. These lightweight-but-sturdy blooms make excellent centerpieces, fun decorations, or could even be part of a floral Halloween costume?! You’ll learn ways to customize the size, shape, and structure of your flower, and you'll choose your own colors, so that your paper flowers will be as unique and varied as their real life counterparts.All materials and supplies will be provided, and you’ll leave with 1-3 finished flowers and the skills to make more flowers at home! Time: 3-4:30pm Your instructor:Abigail McMurray of Yeiou Paper Objects is an Arlington-based artist who makes 3D paper art that celebrates home and the importance of Place in our life stories. Abigail’s work calls attention to the shapes of the places we live. She believes that everyone is creative, and that playfulness is the best way to approach art making.
