Statera 'Remix' Vol II 2021 (750 ml)

50% chardonnay, 50% chenin blanc, from Abbey Road Farm Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton AVA. This is another new wine for us, under our remix series, where we explore chardonnay with other grape varieties. The chardonnay was direct pressed then fermented and aged in neutral oak for 16 months, and the chenin spent 3 days on skins prior to pressing and fermenting and aging in neutral french oak, and the two were blended just prior to bottling. The chardonnay brings richness while the chenin brings racy acidity, creating a refreshing balanced wine. Winemaking: We're introducing a new remix series, where we combine Chardonnay with other grapes, from the same vineyard. Our second release is a blend of Chardonnay & Chenin Blanc that is pretty plush on the palate.
