This dual-hole, plastic pencil sharpener is made for putting a nice pointed tip on graphite pencils (large diameter and regular diameter).   It will fit and sharpen the larger Stockmar, Mercurius, Yorik and Lyra colored pencils too (hexagonal and triangular) up to 0.39 inch (10 mm) in diameter; however, your colored pencils will have a more pointed tip like the graphite pencils when using this sharpener. This sharp tip is desirable with graphite pencils, but can cause color pencils to crumble a bit at the tip on that initial post-sharpen use if too much pressure is applied as their “lead” is softer. Of course, that wears down pretty quickly.
