But Barker's illustration doesn't have us thinking of anything else except the fairy world! DETAILS Cicely Mary Barker Chicory Flower Fairy 4” x 6 “ Postcard ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Cicely Mary Barker (1895 - 1973) was an English illustrator best known for her fairy and flower illustrations and books. In 1923, her first book, Flower Fairies of the Spring was published. Both Summer and Autumn Flower Fairy books would follow and the Winter version was assembled post-humously from her work in 1985. Barker was greatly influenced by the works of Kate Greenaway. She donated most of her artwork to fundraisers for churches and missionary organizations.
