Slow and steady to the marathon finish line in just 26 weeks!  This 26-week marathon training program is designed to take runners from their current level to marathon-ready with this periodized training plan that includes structured workouts. By the end of the program, marathoners will have improved endurance, strength, and speed, while avoiding injury with balanced training.  This training plan comes in both miles and kilometers.    EACH WEEK YOU WILL PERFORM: 2 base runs of  3 to 4 miles 1 long run, gradually increasing each week 1 quality running workout 1 optional cross training (XT) workout,  2 to 3 rest days (depending on if you used a rest day to incorporate some cross training).
