This Flora Jacket is made from a midweight, densely batted quilt that is hand-pieced and quilted in a 'Washington Sidewalk' pattern, with a contrast sashing in a perfectly faded green which compliments the rich tones of the pieced blocks. The backing is pieced from muslin, which overlays a sweet homespun gingham in faed gray and blue - this same gingham has been used for mends on several areas inside the jacket. The collar has been lined in a dusty blue tencel lyocell fabric (very smooth!) that was sourced locally here in Vermont . The pockets and outer edges are bound in a indigo floral fabric (also sourced locally!) that perfectly compliments the late 19th century faded blue fabric that was salvaged from another quilt top for the front plackets. This style jacket features a straight side hem, bound edges, plackets and inner collar, antique brass snaps and oversized handwarmer style pockets. This is the Flora Jacket pattern by Brightside Pattern Company that I pattern tested for them,
