One-of-a-Kind: Winding Ways Cocoon Coat (flexible sizing)

The Winding Waves Cocoon Coat is a straight-cut style with a shawl collar, an exaggerated drop shoulder, slight dolman curve to the underarm, and a wide sleeve, complete with inseam side pockets. This coat features a lightweight quilt that is both hand stitched and quilted (no batting), so has excellent drape and perfect for layering or on it's own. The original maker completed one block with black polka dotted fabric - I love this detail so highlighted it on the bottom of the back panel of the coat. This quilt is in very good vintage condition with some light fading/age to some of the blocks and several small discolorations. These are not viewed as flaws, but rather giving it character and showing it's history.
