Imperial Ale No. 90 - IPA #90 IPA Beer Kit Style: American Imperial Pale Ale ABV: 8.8% Color: Amber Do you like Dogfish Head 90-Minute IPA?  The Imperial Pale Ale style has gained popularity in recent years.  Our 90-minute version just might be the strongest pale ale you'll actually enjoy drinking, with more than twice the malt of a regular recipe! Think of this as the granddaddy of IPA; it's actually very similar to English Barleywine except for the fact that 90-minute uses American malt and hops.  And speaking of hops, this recipe contains more than almost any other in our collection!  Far stronger than your average IPA, full-bodied but decidedly non-sweet.  This beer's character is almost completely based on hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma.   All our Beer Kits come in a variety of Formulations with two yeast styles and enough ingredients to make 5 Gallons.
