Original CHUM (Edition of 500, Yellow Variant)

The year was 2002, Brian Donnelly (AKA KAWS) was taking the art world by storm. It was at this juncture that the collaboration between KAWS and Medicom began. Released in extremely limited editions of 500, Medicom produced four colour variants of KAWS’ iconic Chum figures; Black, clear, yellow and red. Greeted with rave reviews, purchased by art collectors, celebrities and toy fanatics alike. The original Chum immediately began trading on the secondary market at a premium Price. Fast forward twenty two years, Kaws has become one of (if not the most) beloved artists of our era. His figures, merchandise, large scale statues, Prints as well as originals are displayed in some of the most prestigious collections the world over. Not since the great Andy Warhol have we seen such a prolific and enigmatic artist. This specific chum is from the edition of 500 as can be seen on the bottom of the foot.
