She is also noted for her contributions to the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. Her career has influenced many past and present entertainers and her fame is world renowned.  We have rare inscribed note given to her sister, saying, “With a big kiss from sis Joe Baker” which was written on October, 1st, 1931.
