Only eight of these copies were ever made by the artist. The artist, Albert K. Pounian, was an accredited artist and teacher, who gained inspiration for his pieces by traveling with the U.S. Army during World War II. "The Blinding of the Brigand" depicts the European folklore of a rouge hunter riding his horse throughout the forest and ridding it of its beggars.
