He was way ahead of his time for designing such wild yet wearable designs and pieces. Even the monster hands of Jun Takahashi were reference to Bowie and Kansai’s designs. He notably also showed clothing in Europe predating Rei Kawakubo and Yohji. His designed were bright, expressive, large and unisex. It really helped push fashion forward with the help of Bowie’s star power as well as Elton John and many others.
