USMC IW Desert MARPAT FROG Shirt
Officially called 'Inclement Weather Combat Shirt' on the label, these are part of the flame resistant FROG (Flame Resistant Organizational Gear) for US Marines. As these are used surplus, the flame resistant properties may have deteriorated over time and we can not guarantee the resistance properties of the fabrics. Normally Marines have a Summer equivalent of the British UBACS but this version is intended for cold weather. Don't let that fool you however, although a bit thicker in the body than the normal summer version, these are intended as a under layer. Compared to traditional 'UBAC' style shirts, the main torso area has a minimal amount of stretch - however it is much more durable because of this. The arms and shoulders are made from a much more thicker material and further more have added large reinforcement areas. The cuffs are made from a warm stretchy fabric and have thumbholes.
