African Dan Kran Wood Carved Mask

Ivory Coast to Liberia A powerful zoomorphic form, with jutting tubular eyes, prominent, triangular nose, large open mouth showing tongue and teeth, low, grooved, overhanging forehead, and an articulated jaw. Old nails and metal attachments.  Teeth are fragmented, areas of significant erosion and surface pitting, hole near right eye, other losses and imperfections. Height: 10.5 inches + custom base.
