Hellenistic Period, Ca. 3rd to 2nd Century BC. Votive head from a goddess modeled with wavy long hair, her beautiful face with idealized features, slender nose, long neck, almond eyes. Remains of surface deposits. Size: 2 inches H.; 3 inches H on custom mount. Condition: A very beautiful example, broken at neck and originally from a standing female votive figure. Provenance: From the deceased estate of an M.I.T. professor, Massachusetts; Galerie Archaeologia, Montreal, 1991.
