Circa 5th century B.C. Modeled ideal female face wearing a himation over her head and with dimpled chin, full lips, aquiline nose, and centrally parted hair. Size approx 6 inches H. x 6 inches wide + taller on custom made mount. Condition commensurate with age, losses, chips, soil adherence. Ex Mass estate private collection. with label of Mathias Komor, art dealer in New York City from the 1930s until his death in 1984.
