New Kingdom, 18th dynasty, circa 1550 to 1292 BCE An exquisite and choice glazed steatite scarab set into a modern 14kt gold stick pin. The scarab is quite well done featuring a large central goose holding a nefer - may translate to ‘the goodness of Re, the son of Amun’. Beetle side shows clear features. Stick pin made of 14kt gold. Size: 3.125" L x .5" W (7.9 cm x 1.3 cm); 3.5" H (8.9 cm) on included custom stand.
