New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 BC. Carved steatite plaque depicting a large relief carved fish on the top. Reverse depicts Tilapia and Bes drinking beer through straws from a large vessel. Suspension hole through the center. Ancient chip on the lower left rim, otherwise intact.Size: 1-1/8”L. x 3/4”W.Provenance: Collection of Dr. W. Benson Harer, Los Angeles, California. Ex.
