XXVIth Dynasty, Circa 646 to 525 BC. Cast seated with one hand to her breast and holding the child Horus in her lap. She wears a close-fitting garment, striated tripartite wig with crown diadem of uraei, and horn and sun-disk headdress. Her eyes with remains of gold inlay. with her feet resting on a tapering trapezoidal base. Insertion tang below. Size: 7 inches (17.8cm) Height + custom wood mount.Provenance: Ex Private Collection Middle East, acquired 1980s- 2000s.Compare similar example in George Steindorfs, Walters Art Gallery, Egyptian Sculpture.
