Late Classic Ca. 600 to 900 AD. Fine carved blue-green jade figural pendant, depicting a standing dignitary, holding both hands to his chest, wearing a fancy headdress and ear spools. Well carved relief facial features. Drilled perforation through the head for suspension. Size: 3-3/8 inches H. x 1-5/8 inches W. + custom mount. Intact, excellent condition. Overall surface deposits in the recesses. Provenance: Private collection of a Florida physician. Very nice in person.
