Large Moche Molded Figural Pottery Vessel

 Ca. 400 to 600 AD Deep bulbous rounded vessel with a handsome molded figure with spout behind. Large protruding head with fancy headdress and ears with cylindrical ornaments, fine facial details in nose eyes and mouth. Large hands clasps in relief at front of vessel.  Overall painted with red and cream color pigment.An impressive size 17 in Height. Minor rim flake and some dinks to body or else excellent condition and with normal age wear.Provenance: Ex private collection David Eurlich, NY and Long Island 1980s-90s, no. 3654, on Kenneth J Linsner ASA, appraisal document mid 1990s.
