Tasting Notes: Heady | Smooth and Easy Drinking | Potent | Social A light color powder, almost yellow in the light, indicating a nice concentration of kavalactones. Upon opening the bag, the powder is very fine and soft to the touch. The smell is of pepper and that distinct scent of kavalactones. The smell is also very clean with almost no earthyness. This makes sense as the basal root is fully peeled during preperation. The peel is where a lot of flavokavain b is stored in the root, which is also what gives unpeeled kava (lateral roots) a stronger taste. This can be so strong as do be unpleasent with certain types of kava. This has none of the skin, so it should taste extremely smooth and go down very easy.
