This high quality, single cultivar, noble Kava is selected from the MeloMelo variety is grown on the island of Ambae.  Melomelo has been purposefully cultivated for centuries to both concentrate the kavain and increasing the desirable effects. Noble Lateral Root Kava powder, is derived from the smaller roots that extend from the main root-stock. These roots are higher in Kavalactones. The basal root or stump is the root ball base of the kava plant peeled and cut into chips before pounding.
