DescriptionThe Adelia Top was dyed with indigo (second extraction of the dye pot) to achieve a soft French inspired blue color. Size36 MordantAluminum Acetate (Alum) helps brighten colors on fibers. Mordanting is crucial in natural dyeing to enhance light and wash fastness. It creates a bond between the fiber and dye molecule and enables natural dyes to last longer and slows down fading. DyesIndigo Dyed (Middle Extraction) Wash & CareAll naturally dyed colors are prone to fading if stored and exposed in direct sunlight for too long. While I mordant all of our naturally dyed garments, it is best to hand wash or light cycle wash in cool/lukewarm water and use a gentle washing detergent without any harsh chemicals and avoid bleach.
