Italian Rococo Giltwood Side Table Italian Rococo gilt wood 'tavola' with painted faux green marble top. Rare 18th century Venetian Rococo painted and gilt stand with a turbaned moor holding grapes aloft over a tripod base. The unique detail of this tavola is the painting on top of Piazza San MarCo (St Mark's) and the Doge's Palace in the style of Francesco Guardi. Overall excellent condition for a piece this age, the painting on top has old restoration, ( see photos ), and there are earlier touch ups and restoration throughout. None of which takes away from its charm.
