Neolithic hand carved stone disc with a hole in the center mounted on a modern steel base. This evocative ancient piece has a real presence that belies it's size. Wonderful color with nice contrasting striation. This piece was acquired by the previous owner in Namibia circa 1960's. 6.5" h x 5" w x 2" d Provenance Ex Col: Peter Pellettieri, artist and professor, Mr. Pellettieri was a connoisseur and collector of early European art and antiquities.
