Ode to Monet: Water Lilies

Water lilies floating in a pond on a summer's day. My homage to one my favorite artists, Claude Monet. His beautiful & serene series of water lilies have inspired many! Done with a watercolor painting process referred to as "wet-on-wet". The wet paint is merged with a wet canvas allowing magical things to happen as one mixes in unexpected ways with the other. An original painting done using high quality, artist grade watercolor paints & oil pastels, on 140 lb. premium Arches watercolor 100% cotton fiber paper.
