A managing 7-member board led by Gichunge Ikiara is committed to high standards of farming, processing and storing coffee. Most farms in the region are between 1-2 acres each. The region has cool hilly terrain with abundant rainfall and mineral rich soil producing bright, complex, and aromatic coffees with a silky body and wine-like acidity. The cherries are hand-picked, hand-sorted, dried in the traditional Kenyan style, then transported to and processed at either the Gichugene or Kinjo Wetmill.
