Amano Raspberry Rose Dark Chocolate Bar

The Ultimate Valentine’s Day bar!!!! Have you ever tasted poetry for your palate? This delightful bar is romantic, a little sexy, and just plain old delicious. I do believe I am in love. The prominent flavor note is raspberry, but you’ll get the delicate rose-kissed finish and a hint of vanilla, which in my opinion is just as it should be! I also love the crunchy sugar crystals embedded inside the dark chocolate. The texture is so incredibly gorgeous - or “electrifying” according to Amano’s chocolate maker and founder, Art Pollard.  I adore the back story to this bar! While visiting Paris, Art set out to buy fancy pastries at Pierre Hermé on Rue Bonaparte…$70 worth of pastries, that is. He took his precious purchases back to his little hotel room, tasted the raspberry rose cheesecake, and uttered words that are not fit to print on this classy website. As he said, “A simple ‘Oh my, that is good’ was simply insufficient.” Since then, Art’s goal was to create that experience for all who taste this lovely bar, which is an homage to his Parisian raspberry rose cheesecake love affair.
