Silver Glass Beads

  In this class we are going to explore silver glass.  The class will start with the basics.  You will learn what striking and reduction glasses are and how to achieve those fun colors.  Starting with reduction glass, you will explore both surface reduction for a super shine and encased reduction for a satin luster or iridescence. We will then explore striking silver glass, how and when to strike it and how to reset it.  Last we will make a twisty, apply it to a bead and to encase it, to explore how they can work together to make some beautiful colors.
