A fashionable luxury in 18th century homes, these tables were commonly used for tea service, games, or social gatherings. Their tilting tops allow for easy storage when not in use making them a practical item for smaller rooms found in many 18th century homes. This table was made in Connecticut, likely Hartford County, during the third quarter of the 18th century & remains in remarkable condition with all of its original charm and splendor. Many surviving examples have repairs to their cabriole legs from being stepped on at some point in their 250+ year old life.
