The box is absolutely correct with deep chamfered panels on the front and sides with two base drawers. The chest is crafted from a native figured cherry that was popular outside of major port cities that wouldn't regularly have access to imported woods like Mahogany. This came to us from a southern collector who relocated to New Hampshire and was phasing out a few of his older items for a more relevant New England collection.
