We're proud to offer for sale this exceptional pair of 18th century Federal period maple acorn rope beds. These were made in New England most likely CT or MA but the form was practiced in a wide area. The beds stand on turned legs with a unique bulbous profile with complex transitions topped with absolutely wonderful turned acorn carvings. The headboard and foot board have a nice scrolling pattern adding to their charm. These are finished in a nice light maple / nutmeg color and are in fantastic condition. The beds hold together with carriage bolts and have a decorative brass bed bolt cover decorated with an embossed thistle. These are period beds that
