Volume 1 is subtitled “Thoughts on the Present Discontents” and The Two Speeches on America” 328 pages. Weighs 11 oz CONDITION There is some yellowing of the pages and a few notes. There are no tears or missing pages. The title and cover pages are signed by the (presumable) original owner and dated 1882. The seam on the cover page has split a little but has not come loose. The back seam has split but not come loose either. The cloth on the front cover has bubbled a bit. The spine shows mild-moderate shelf wear.
