Chinese Ming Nearly White Jade Button

A very old Chinese jade button from the Ming Dynasty for clothing embellishment. The jade is almost white. A nephrite jade has been carved into a prunus flower with a central hole for attachment. The jade is heavy and has a cloudy matrix. The color is very pale green that looks almost white. It has been polished by hand. It has that nice soft inner glow from the polishing.  MEASUREMENTS 1 1/8” (2.9 cm) diameterWeighs .16 oz (4.8 g) CONDITION The button has no breaks, chips, cracks, and the jade has not been dyed or bleached. It has a natural inclusion of white and brown on the back. A very old jade to add to your collection or use to make a piece of jewelry.
