Chinese Ming Pale Green Jade Prunus Blossom Clothing Ornament

A very old 14/15th century carved nephrite jade flower blossom. The blossom has five slightly concave blossom petals and a raised center. The back is flat and shaped like a pentagon.   The jade is a translucent pale green with few inclusions. It has a nice soft hand polished look and feel.   MEASUREMENTS   1 1/8” (2.8 cm) diameter x 3/16” (.5 cm) high. Weighs .2 oz (88 g)   CONDITION   There is a small chip on one petal, as well as a few nicks on the edges. The petal with a chip has a natural fissure near the tip.   This wonderful simple jade comes from the time of Marco Polo. It feels good just to rub it in your hand.
