A well-potted and hand painted tea bowl or cup with dragons and the flaming pearl inspired by designs from the Ming dynasty. The rim has an iron brown dressing and the bowl rests on a thin, unglazed foot. There is a stamped iron red character on the base. MEASUREMENTS 3 7/8” (9.8 cm) diameter x 3 3/8” (8.4 cm) tall. Weighs 3.0 oz (100 g) CONDITION There are two hairlines from the rim, but no other breaks, chips or repairs. The glazes remain bright. There are kiln flaws, such as bumps and black spots. The bottom of the foot has wear.
