Elephant Profile Cast Iron Single Bookend 1925

A single well cast iron bookend of an elephant with a rich bronze patina.   The base is flat. The stylized word “bronze” in a deco design is molded on the back above the base.   MEASUREMENTS   5” (12.7 cm) wide x 2” (5.1 cm) deep x 4” (10.2 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 12.2 oz (800 g)   CONDITION   There are no breaks, chips, cracks, or dents. The patina is a bit brighter on the more raised areas, such as the elephant’s belly. It has a nice, aged look. Most of the felt on the bottom is missing.    A heavy and useful bookend with a sculptural elephant design that will hold up your books.
