Large Victorian Food Mold Lion 19th C

A large food mold with a lion at rest on a field of grass. The heavy ceramic has been glazed in a thick, smooth, shiny white glaze. The foot rings are deep, flat and glazed.   The last photo should give an idea of what a dessert made with the mold would look like, if you can look beyond my inexperienced efforts. It definitely won't win me a slot in the Great British Baking Show!    MEASUREMENTS   10 ¼” (26.0 cm) long x 5 3/8” (13.5 cm) wide x 4 ¾” (12.1 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs 1.1 oz (935 g)   CONDITION   There is a repair to the foot at the end with the lion’s head. The break does not go through to the interior. There are no other chips, breaks, cracks, or repairs. There are kiln flaws, such as bumps, black spots and reserve spots. There are some stains in the deep recesses inside.   A great lion to add to a collection of molds or display with others in the kitchen. It will display well on its side in a cabinet or on a shelf.
