Pair Art Deco Butterfly Bookends PM Craftsman 1930's
A shiny and heavy pair of butterflies that are landing on a flower. The butterflies and bases have a very art deco feel. I love the patterning on the wings and the curved lines on the base depicting movement. The bookends are crafted from brass base and then given a shiny silver-toned finish. The backs have a stippled patterned design. They have old maroon felt on the base. The bookends are unmarked, but I believe they were produced by PM Craftsman. MEASUREMENTS 3 ½ in (8.9 cm) wide x 3 ¾ in (9.5 cm) deep x 5 ½ in (14.0 cm) tall. Weighs 4 lbs 2.0 oz (1870 g) CONDITION There are losses to the silver-toned finish, but they still shine up nicely. One bookend is missing a lower wing tail and the upper wing tip is rough. The other bookend has no breaks. There is wear on the felt on both bookends. A shiny, silvery appearance that will add artistry and substance to your bookshelf.
