A pair of bookends of streamlined Art Deco horse heads with a shiny copper patina. The horses are in a very agitated state. You can almost hear them neighing! The bookends are molded from a heavy grey metal. They have green felt on the bases and rest flat on a surface. There are no manufacturer marks or labels. MEASUREMENTS 5 1/4” (13.3 cm) long x 4 ½” (11.4 cm) wide x 5 ¼” (13.3 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lbs 12.1 oz (1705 g) CONDITION There are no cracks, dents, or breaks. There is wear to the copper finish along the top of the head, ears and front of the mouth. There are bumps and nicks from manufacture. They still have a shiny, lustrous appearance. The felts on the bases show wear and one edge has become unglued and then folded. A very Art Deco designed pair of realistic horse head bookends that will give your dark bookshelf a glint of shine. They are also heavy and will hold up books.
