A set of four blue and white Chinese Export shallow porcelain bowls with similar designs of waterscapes, boats, buildings and trees. The designs, which were painted in a nice medium cobalt blue, are similar but not identical. The rims have been painted with an iron brown, with a cross-hatch border near the rim. The shallow bowls are very thinly hand potted. Each has a shallow unglazed foot with glazed bases. MEASUREMENTS 6 ½” diameter x 1 1/8” tall. Total weight 1 lb 9.6 oz (730 g) CONDITION Each bowl has some damages. One bowl has a two small rim chip and no cracks. Another bowl has a hairline that extends from the rim to the cavetto, a rim chip underneath, a few tiny rim frits, and a chip on the foot. The third bowl has a larger rim chip with a hairline extending from the chip to the cavetto, and a small chip on the inside of the foot rim. The most damaged plate has three hairlines, one of which starts at the rim and extends to the opposite side of the foot ring. The other two
