A delicate hand-painted porcelain teacup with a very soft and unctuous feel when held. The teacup was molded and has a slightly fluted shape with a painted iron red rim border and body designs of stylized floral patterns. It has is a raised unglazed foot ring. The base is glazed. There are no marks or labels on the base MEASUREMENTS3 ½” diameter x 2” tall. Weighs 3.1 oz (90 g) CONDITION There are no breaks, but there is a small hairline at the rim. There are two small rim chips; one on the inside and one on the outside by one of the points. There is also a glaze chip on the underside of the foot. The enamels show some wear but are still quite bright. The teacup fits in the hand and has such a good feel when held. A very old teacup to add to a collection or drink tea from.
